How do I buy a car from Korea with xDriveCo?
Choose a car on our site — dealer cars, auctions or our own stock — or send us a link from Encar, KCar or any Korean auction. We confirm it is still for sale and can be exported, send you the full price, and check its condition. When you confirm, we send the invoice.
Can I buy a car from a Korean auction?
Yes. We get approved buyers a login for the auction houses Korean dealers buy from, and handle everything after the hammer falls — payment in Korea, export papers and shipping.
How do I know what condition the car is in?
Before you pay, we go through the Korean performance-check record and the insurance accident history and send you more photos whenever you need them. After purchase we check the engine bay, underbody, panel gaps, tyres, interior and mileage, and write down anything that differs from the records.
How do I pay, and how do I know it is safe?
Payment is by bank transfer against an xDriveCo invoice, with a contract. Pay only to the bank account printed on our invoice; if anyone sends you different bank details by message, check with us on WhatsApp or Telegram first.
How is the car shipped, and from which port?
From Incheon or Busan, depending on your sailing. The car is either driven onto the ship (RoRo) or secured inside a container — which one depends on the route and the car, and we tell you before it happens.
Can I follow where my car is?
Yes. As soon as the booking is confirmed, you can track your car on our site with its VIN — no need to write to anyone and wait for an answer.
Which documents do I receive?
Bill of lading, commercial invoice, a copy of the registration with its English translation, the original de-registration certificate with its English translation, the certificate of origin and the export declaration. They are sent by courier after the ship leaves.
Who clears the car through customs in my country?
You or your customs broker, under your country's rules — we make sure they already hold every paper they will ask for. Our customs calculator gives a first estimate of the duties.
Are Korean cars left-hand drive?
Yes, every Korean car is left-hand drive. If your country requires right-hand drive, Korea is not the right source — we would rather tell you now than after a deposit.
